Leogang

The Salzburg holiday resort Leogang has more than 3,000 inhabitants and is located at 788 m above sea level in a valley basin, the elongated Leogang valley. Bordered by the Leoganger Steinberge and the Kitzbüheler Alpen, the place is definitely a very good starting point for an active holiday in the Pinzgau area. There are already plenty of top outdoor activities, paired with a good dose of warm, Austrian hospitality, varied events and much more.

Leogang is now a well-known ski mecca and well deserved! With the merger of the surrounding ski areas, also known as the “Skicircus”. Including Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Leogang, Fieberbrunn as well as Zell am See and Kaprun also not too far away. Ski holiday-makers are not only offered a unique range of well-groomed and varied slopes, there are also a range of fun-parks and mountain pit-stops.

The mountains also offer a range of activities off the slopes! Have you ever thought about a ski tour or snowshoe hike in and around the mountains of Leogang? The toboggan run on the Asitz is also very popular, with plenty for young and old explorers alike. A top tip from us would be to take on the toboggan run as it is considered a great deal of fun.

Leogang is a paradise not only in winter, but also in summer too. Thanks to the well-known bike parks, friendly businesses and schools with Leogang being THE bike region of Austria.

There is also a very well-developed network of hiking trails for hikers and mountaineers in the Leoganger Steinberge and various other mountains of the region. If you are also looking for a real adrenaline kick, you should try the Flying Fox XXL, one of the longest steel cable slides in the world.
